Artist's Description
The natural design of this shell reminds me of a dream catcher. It gives the illusion of a counter clock spiral going into the center of the shell. A spiral is the symbol for the Underwater Panther.
Currently on exhibit at the Minneapolis Institute of Art (MIA) in Minneapolis, MN from August to October 2012. http://www.artsmia.org/
About Douglas Limon
I am an enrolled member of "the" Oneida Nation and a descendent of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe. My mother taught me how to bead on a loom at the age of five.
